Cardiff Bay is set for a weekend of high-speed action as the Offshore Circuit Racing Drivers Association (OCRDA) brings Round 2 of its National Championship to the Welsh capital.
Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, the event will see powerboats, aquabikes and ProCats competing on the waters of Cardiff Bay, with spectators able to watch all the action from Mermaid Quay.
OCRDA, which has been established for more than 40 years, is led by chairman Andy Nelmes and is run by a professional team of dedicated volunteers and officials. The sport has grown significantly in recent years, with more than 45 teams competing during the 2025 season.
The championship brings together several racing disciplines, including Aquabike Racing and ProCat Racing, alongside a number of international competitors.
Organisers say the event will provide exciting on-water entertainment throughout the weekend, with seven races scheduled on each day.
ProCat races will last 10 minutes, while powerboat and aquabike races will run for 25 minutes, giving fans plenty of opportunities to see the competitors in action.
Racing gets underway at 11.30am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday.
The event forms the second round of the OCRDA National Championship and is expected to attract competitors and spectators from across the UK.
With fast-paced racing and a packed schedule across both days, visitors to Cardiff Bay can expect a thrilling spectacle on the water as teams battle for championship points.
