New additions in NatWest’s Cardiff business banking team

NatWest has announced additions to its business banking team for Cardiff.

Kevin Morgan joins as senior director, while Gemma Collins takes on the role of business growth enabler.

Kevin heads up a team of six relationship managers, based in Cardiff, Pontypridd and the Vale of Glamorgan, and will also lead on the bank’s public affairs engagement in Wales. He has worked for NatWest for 28 years in a variety of leadership, relationship management and commercial credit roles.

Kevin said:

“These are exciting times for Cardiff and the surrounding region thanks to initiatives such as the Cardiff Capital Region City Deal and proposals for a South Wales Metro, as well as an enviably strong ecosystem which supports businesses from start-ups to corporates. So it’s a great time to be joining NatWest’s Cardiff team and I look forward to us continuing to strengthen our presence and support the local economy.”

Gemma worked as a journalist across South Wales before joining NatWest as regional PR manager. Her new role involves connecting small businesses, running free talks and events and helping businesses access insight and knowledge.

Gemma said: “My family has run a shop in Bargoed for more than 60 years, and because of that I’ve always been passionate about supporting small businesses. I’ve also worked in business journalism, so I was delighted when the opportunity came along to become a business growth enabler for NatWest. Cardiff is fast making a name for itself in the creative and digital sectors, and this coupled with a first-class support network for start-ups and a strong professionals community makes it an excellent place to be doing this job.”
