TwentySix is Cardiff’s newest outdoor neighbourhood hangout – promising all-day brunches at the weekend, and a spot to enjoy coffee & cake from Wednesday to Sunday.

A custom-built, weatherproof seating area – complete with booth seating, cute festoon lighting, and timed wall heaters means that the new venue – housed at The Bone Yard creative community in Canton – boasts a total capacity of more than 90 covers.

The venue is the brainchild of established street food trader Helen Gorman; her TOAST brand (previously seen at festivals around South Wales) will be responsible for serving up weekend breakfasts, freshly squeezed OJ and coffee at TwentySix.

The weekend daytime menu will include TOAST’s popular brunch favourites like American Pancakes with Crispy Bacon & Maple Syrup, Sourdough Toast with Harissa Butter, Poached Egg & Halloumi, as well as her Spicy, Smoky Vegan Beans on Sourdough Toast.

A fully licensed bar has been well-stocked with a selection of beers, wines and spirits, and will offer regular seasonal specials – currently pouring the spicy House Bloody Mary and the TwentySix Mimosa.

A regular rotation of street food traders will be taking over the kitchen from 3 – 10pm, every Thursday to Sunday; the March trader line-up includes Cracklin, Ringo’s Dirty Diner, The Roti Shack, and local street food stalwarts Keralan Karavan.

TwentySix founder Helen said, “I feel so proud of what I’ve managed to achieve with the build over the last six weeks, and I can’t wait to see people enjoying the space! I hope I’ve built somewhere that people can create great memories this summer and beyond; I’ve had a flurry of messages from local residents who are excited to come and check it out.

I’m buzzing to get all the different street food traders in and eat their amazing food. I’ve also got some great plans in progress behind the scenes which I can’t wait to launch. All in all, feeling very tired and excited all rolled into one!”

Twenty Six is now open from Wednesday – Sunday, every week.
