New stalls open at Swansea indoor market

Shoppers have more new reasons to visit the historic Swansea Market.

It has three new permanent stalls offering goods ranging from rugs to smoothies and takeaway meals.

They join dozens of other traders providing a vast range of goods and services.

Rugs Central offers wide selection quality rugs, mats and runners and also offers online sales via www.rugs-central.com.

Owner Vivian Presgrave said: “I want to expand my business and a new stall at Swansea Market is a great opportunity.

“Customers here have already been giving me great feedback and I look forward to getting to know many more over the coming months and years.”

Smoothie Den sells a range of fresh smoothies, cold press juices and milkshakes.

Owner Dr Tinn Sreekanth, a retired doctor, said: “I’m passionate about the health benefits of fresh juices from fruits and vegetables for the people of Swansea.

“Our milkshakes are made from real fruit purees. There’s no ice, sugar or water added to any of our juices and they’re pure, without any preservatives. They’re made fresh in front of every customer.”

Bowla offers a range of freshly prepared takeaway food served in the business’s own unique bowler hat-shaped mini bread loaves.

It’s run by father and daughter Clayton and Hannah Worth. Hannah said: “We bake the rolls fresh every day in our market stall and our ever-changing range of locally-created fillings are proving to be really popular.”

The market is managed by Swansea Council.

Cabinet member and joint deputy leader David Hopkins said: “It’s exciting to see new innovative businesses joining the many other traders who already offer the public such a variety of quality local products and services.”
