Tarian Labs is a new cyber security company founded by two industry experts who saw a gap in the market to provide small to medium businesses with top level protection – the same trusted by government departments.
Marc Hill and Kevin Hanford first crossed paths at one of Wales’ leading cybersecurity organisations – a company recognised globally for securing complex networks and systems. They spent their working days defending critical infrastructure from evolving cyber threats and wanted to offer that same level of protection to small and medium-sized businesses.
Marc, who lives in Newport, and Kevin, who hails from Swansea, noticed a worrying trend that cyber threats that once focused on large organisations were increasingly targeting small and medium-sized businesses. Realising that many SMEs lacked the funding and support available to bigger companies, they saw an opportunity to make a difference. Determined to level the cyber playing field, they founded Tarian Labs to bring enterprise-grade protection to smaller businesses.
Tarian Labs (Tarian means shield in Welsh) delivers defence-grade protection to small and medium-sized businesses facing today’s ever-evolving cyber threats. From testing and identifying weaknesses to strengthening systems and implementing improvements, Tarian Labs helps clients stay secure and resilient online.
Marc explained: “Having worked with some of the UK’s leading cybersecurity organisations, we became increasingly concerned that smaller businesses, many of which we use and trust every day, were being left vulnerable. Too often, they relied on generic, off-the-shelf software that simply couldn’t keep up with modern threats. We knew something had to change.”
“Some of our friends who run small businesses have had their entire systems compromised or been hit by ransomware, putting both their livelihoods and employees at risk. They didn’t know how to recover or protect themselves and that’s the problem Tarian Labs was created to solve.”
Kevin continued: “At Tarian Labs, we provide small businesses with the same level of checks and safeguards that major corporations use to protect their systems. From cybersecurity assessments and penetration testing to phishing simulations, we ensure business owners have peace of mind knowing their systems are thoroughly tested and as secure as possible.
“We don’t want to overcomplicate things for our customers. We offer straightforward, affordable solutions that businesses can put in place, with the confidence that their systems are protected to the same standard as government networks.
“Big consultancy firms often offer cybersecurity solutions that are complicated, slow, and full of technical jargon. We do things differently. At Tarian Labs, we offer straightforward, affordable solutions that businesses can put in place with the confidence that their systems are protected to the same standard as government networks. As our customers you speak directly to the people protecting your systems, and we handle all the cyber work – all you need to do is call us.”
