TUI (formerly Thomson) the UK’s largest holiday brand, has announced a new service to Hurghada, Egypt for the coming winter season, connecting Welsh customers to resorts on the Red Sea coast.

Holidaymakers now have even more choice when it comes to winter sun with flights to the Egyptian resort town departing Cardiff every Monday. Flights take off on 5th November 2018 and customers can enjoy staying at the best hotels TUI has to offer in one of Egypt’s most popular destinations such as the 5T TUI Magic Life Kalawy, Hurgahda.

Hurghada boasts year-round sunshine making it the ideal destination for a winter break.  The Red Sea resort has everything you need to escape the cold with beautiful beaches and warm weather making it perfect for popular activities such as snorkelling and diving.

There are a number of day trip packages available from Hurghada so keen explorers can visit various attractions. The Sahara desert frames the city, offering opportunities for quad biking and camel riding experiences while Egypt’s biggest water park is on the town’s doorstep, offering fun for the whole family.

Deb Barber, CEO of Cardiff Airport said:

“The return of flights to Egypt from Cardiff is great news for our customers. We are delighted that TUI has chosen Hurghada as the new addition to its choice of destinations. Egypt is a fantastic winter destination and it’s great to continue to see our airlines adding even more holiday options for customers who are choosing to fly from Cardiff.”

Karen Switzer, Director of Aviation Planning for TUI UK & Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be adding Hurghada to our programme from Cardiff Airport for winter 2018. We know customers want winter sun and with this new addition local holidaymakers can now fly to the Red Sea resort of Hurghada from Cardiff. In total we have nine destinations for customers to choose from when booking their winter holidays from Cardiff Airport.”

Holidays in Egypt for winter 2018/19 are bookable now at www.tui.co.uk.
