    Leading Newport-based specialist recruitment firm Acorn is celebrating after being recognised for ‘Best Recruitment Agency Marketing Team’ at the prestigious National Recruiter Awards.

    First established in 2002, the Recruiter Awards gala is the UK’s largest event for the entire recruitment community, recognising outstanding achievements by the industry which includes more than 13,000 UK firms.

    The team, which is based at Acorn’s head office at Celtic Springs Business Park, was acknowledged by the judging panel as having “a well-rounded and strategic marketing plan” and for “demonstrating a variety of channels and routes to market, with linked return on investment”.

    Acorn’s Group Marketing Director Dan Langford said;

    “The Recruiter awards are an important feature in the industry’s calendar and so for our marketing team to be recognised so highly is tremendous credit to them all.

    “This latest award follows the success of last year when we opened four new branches and achieved a double win at the industry’s other national awards ceremony, which included the award of ‘UK’s Best Recruiter’ for one of our colleagues.

    “So, we’re certainly on a roll. This year we’ve already opened several new branches with two more to follow shortly, and we’ve also developed new specialist recruitment divisions covering aerospace, nuclear and energy, and life sciences.

    “It’s such a busy time for the marketing team and for Acorn as a whole, so this award is a fantastic reflection of what has been achieved so far.”

    Matt Southall, Group Managing Director said:

    “This is fantastic news for our Marketing team and everyone at Acorn is thrilled. Winning such a highly-reputable, national award is testament to both the efforts and important contribution the team makes.

    “From one branch launched in Newport town centre in 1992 to more than 40 branches throughout the UK offering leading specialist recruitment support, we couldn’t be prouder of how far we have come.

    “Such success would not be possible without the quality of our back office teams, and the contribution of our Marketing team is integral to the company’s long-term development and growth. I look forward to seeing their future achievements.”
