Adult Learners’ Week, now in its 30th year, is the biggest adult learning campaign in Wales with over 10,000 adults taking part.

This year Newport learning and libraries will be running a variety of free online and face-to-face taster courses, and will be delivered alongside local partners including, Pobl, GAVO and Coleg Gwent.

On Thursday 23 September at the University of South Wales city centre campus, the council’s digital skills team will be on hand to help people get connected and improve their digital skills.  The adult community learning team will also be there, showcasing the latest courses available and offering advice and support to anyone wanting to learn a new skill.  Drop in any time between 9am and 5pm.

Adult Learners’ Week is free and for everyone and takes place between 20 and 26 September.

Find out more about Newport’s activities during the week, as well as the courses that are run throughout the year at newport.gov.uk/communitylearning.
