Visitors can speak to friendly experts about a wide range of topics including childcare, early years support, benefits, cost of living, housing, utilities and wellbeing.
There will also be free activities for families throughout the day, along with ALN Sessions for the younger generation and a quiet room for arts and crafts for older children with additional learning needs, as well as film screenings of The Magic Faraway Tree, making it an ideal half-term outing.
Let’s Connect events have already helped hundreds of residents find the support they need, discover local services and connect with their community.
Councillor Deborah Davies, Newport City Council’s deputy leader] said: “Let’s Connect Summer offers a wide range of advice and support and a free day out for families with film screenings and family activities.
“You will come away knowing what local help and support is available to you in Newport and have a fun family day out too. It’s a great opportunity for residents this half term and I’d encourage you to come along and see what’s on offer.”
No booking is required – just drop in on the day.
