Preparations are in full swing to look back on a full year of sporting achievements in Pembrokeshire.

The prestigious Sport Pembrokeshire Awards 2025 will return to Folly Farm on Friday November 28th and nominations for the award categories open today (Monday September 8th).

The categories recognise the sporting achievements of individuals and teams and the dedication of volunteers and coaches in community sport.

Cllr Rhys Sinnett, Council Cabinet Member for Residents’ Services, said he hoped the record entries of previous years would be matched or even bettered in 2025.

“It has been an incredible summer with Wales women footballers taking part in their first major tournament as a highlight.

“Now we turn our attention to a sporting highlight of our own. The Sport Pembrokeshire Awards have been going from strength to strength and we hope 2025 will be no different.

“The Sport Pembrokeshire Awards are a chance to celebrate sporting success at all levels as well as thanking those, particularly the volunteers, who are essential for grass-roots sport.”

    Nominations close on October 12th.

Thanks go once again to the Awards sponsors, Valero, Pure West Radio and Folly Farm for ensuring that the celebration of Pembrokeshire sport can continue.

    Nominations can be made online:

The award categories are as follows:

    • Coach of the Year
    • Female Sporting Achievement
    • Male Sporting Achievement
    • Boys (U16) Sporting Achievement
    • Girls (U16) Sporting Achievement
    • Disability Sport Award

    • Team Achievement of the Year
    • Junior (U16) Team Achievement of the Year

An additional award announced on the night is the Schools Award, which recognises a local school which works extra hard to make sport and physical activity fun, inclusive, and innovative – and forges strong bonds with the local community.
