The North Wales Economic Ambition Board has submitted its Bid for a Growth Deal to both the UK and Welsh Governments.

The regional partners are being invited to adopt the Bid – called the Proposition Document – during October in readiness for a first stage agreement between Governments and the region.

The region is expectant that UK Government will confirm its commitment to funding a Growth Deal around the Chancellor of Exchequer’s Budget Statement (October 29).

The Bid has the firm support of MPs and Assembly Members across the region.

The Wales Office has been supportive of the case made by the region.

We wish Secretary of State Alun Cairns MP and Minister Mims Davies MP well in negotiating inside Government on the Board’s behalf, leading up to the Budget Statement. We invite all who have backed the Bid to lend them their support.
