Swansea Council manages the castle, with the help of volunteers, and is looking forward to greeting Tinkerbell and the lost boys as Peter Pan takes centre stage this Wednesday (Aug 7) at 2pm.

The following day, at 7pm, the tale of Romeo and Juliet will be romantically staged for Shakespeare lovers. The events are being organised by the council.

Everyone who buys an Outdoor Theatre ticket will get half-price castle entry from August 8-16.

Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “Outdoor Theatre is always extremely popular at Oystermouth Castle. I thank event sponsors holidaycottages.co.uk.”

Serena Pearce, regional communities manager of holidaycottages.co.uk, said: “We’re committed to supporting the local communities that we work with and where we host holiday cottages. Our team in our local office in Mumbles look forward to seeing the success of the Outdoor Theatre events.”

Oystermouth Castle is open Wednesday-Monday 11am-5pm (last entry 4.30pm).

Outdoor Theatre attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic or make use of local shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and ice cream parlours.
