Drivers are advised of overnight closures on the A48 this week for essential safety improvements.

The road will be closed each night from Monday 20 October to Friday 24 October, between 8pm and 6am. The work includes milling for new road studs and refreshing road markings. A signed diversion will be in place.

Traffic wishing to continue along the A48 should follow the A40 from Pensarn roundabout to Llandeilo, then take the A483 through Llandeilo to its roundabout junction with the A476. Follow the A476 south all the way to rejoin the A48 at Cross Hands roundabout.

    Westbound follows the reverse route.
