Cardiff Bus customers can now plan their journeys with even more precision following the operator’s latest website feature.

Passengers are now able check how busy their bus is before it arrives.

The feature gathers data from ticket machine sales to provide an accurate idea of the number of passengers on board each bus. Alongside this, customers are encouraged to input their own information about the bus they are travelling on.

The operator has added this latest website feature with the aim of enhancing customers’ journeys and providing real time information.

Gareth Stevens, Operations and Commercial Director at Cardiff Bus said the new feature is a significant step forward in keeping its customers informed about its services.

Mr Stevens said: “The new feature we have added to our website will be a great tool to help our customers plan their journeys and have the best experience whilst using our buses.

“We want to ensure that all of our customers are able to travel comfortably and safely, so being able to check if the bus is busy will make a real difference and help people in their day to day travels.”

The new feature is soon to be added to the app and is easy to access on the Cardiff Bus website by simply visiting the Routes and Maps page, selecting the route and clicking on the bus within the map.

For more information on the operator’s altered timetables during the coronavirus outbreak visit https://www.cardiffbus.com/coronavirus or visit its Facebook and Twitter pages.

Cardiff Bus’s customer service centers on Sloper Road and Westgate Street are closed, customers are reminded that tickets can be purchased on the app and timetable and route information is available on the app and website.
