The Pembrokeshire County Show is back once again – and this year’s event on 20th and 21st August will see Pembrokeshire County Council provide an insight into the roles available at the Authority.

This year it was decided to take a different approach and use the opportunity to showcase the type of roles we have within the Authority and struggle to recruit – and highlight that we are an employer providing excellent employee support and future progression.

Visitors will also have the chance to meet Cabinet Members and the Chief Executive and find out about a host of interesting and innovative projects happening across the county. This includes the Haverfordwest Castle redevelopment and a consultation engagement event with Town and Community Councils.

The marquee will be located opposite the show jumping and equestrian rings in Zone A (pitch 9).

As a celebration of rural life in the county, the show is the perfect platform to engage with both local communities and visitors.

The Council’s Assistant Chief Executive Richard Brown said: “Our teams are excited about meeting visitors and having the opportunity to demonstrate what they do – and highlight the wide range of career opportunities we have to offer.

“The County Show is the perfect place to celebrate the amazing produce we have to offer – and to meet new and old friends.

“Please come and visit our marquee and discover more at our jobs fair and about our transformational projects, which will improve the lives of our communities and visitors. I look forward to meeting you.”

Cllr Paul Miller, Deputy Leader, added: “The County Show is a well-loved and important celebration of rural life in Pembrokeshire, and we are delighted to be part of the event once again.

“Our staff and members will be chatting to lots of people from communities right across Pembrokeshire – please drop into our stand and say hello – we’re looking forward to meeting you.”
