    Police concerned for man last seen in Pontypridd park

    South Wales Police is renewing its appeal for information concerning the whereabouts of David Evans who has been missing since Thursday March 23.

    Mr Evans, aged 77, is from Llantrisant in Rhondda Cynon Taff and was last seen in Ynysangharad Park, Pontypridd and 10.15 on Thursday.

    Known locally as Russell, he was last seen wearing a full-length green raincoat, blue jeans, black shoes, glasses and possibly a scarf.

    Detective Chief Inspector Emma Hampton said: “Mr Evans has now been missing for three days and we are extremely concerned for his well-being.

    “I am appealing to anyone who thinks they may have seen him since Thursday morning or who has any information which may help us to find him, to contact us as soon as possible.

    “We are asking local residents to check their outbuildings, garden sheds of anywhere someone may have sought shelter.”

    Anyone who may have seen David Evans, or who has information which will help the police to find him, should contact South Wales Police quoting occurrence number 2300093630.
