Signage has now gone up at St David’s Shopping Centre ahead of the highly anticipated arrival of POP MART in Cardiff.

The global designer toy giant is set to open its first ever Welsh store at the city centre shopping destination later this year, although an official opening date has not yet been confirmed.

Located on the upper floor of St David’s 2, the new store will sit next to Apple, placing it in one of the busiest areas of the shopping centre.

POP MART is known worldwide for its character-led collectibles and blind box figures, which have become hugely popular among fans and collectors. One of its most recognisable creations is Labubu, an elf-like character that regularly sells out and has gained a strong following across social media.

The Cardiff store forms part of the brand’s wider UK expansion, with existing locations in cities including London, Manchester and Birmingham.

Shoppers can expect a range of popular collections, including figures, plush items and limited-edition releases, with the brand’s signature blind box format continuing to drive demand.

The arrival of POP MART is expected to be one of the most talked about retail openings in Cardiff this year, with strong interest already building as signage appears in store ahead of launch.

Further details, including an opening date, are expected to be announced in due course.
