Swansea-based kidney charity, Popham Kidney Support, will lead the first Cardiff Business School breakfast briefing of 2023, outlining the benefits of corporate social responsibility (CSR) for businesses, alongside various guest speakers.
The event will take place on Tuesday, January 17, between 8.30 am and 9.30 am at Cardiff Business School, and will also be available to attend online via Zoom.
The event is titled: More than just feeling good – the business benefit of working with charities, and is part of the charity’s corporate partnership campaign, encouraging businesses from across Wales and beyond to partner with the charity on a long-term basis.
The event will be hosted by well-known journalist and presenter, and Popham Kidney Support ambassador, Sian Lloyd, and will focus on what it means to be socially conscious and how that can benefit employers and employees.
Also in attendance will be James Cross, Head of Service at Admiral Household Claims, who will delve into Admiral’s social commitment strategy and how that has helped propel its development and benefit its employees.
Additionally, there will be input from Joanne Popham, CEO of Popham Kidney Support, about the positive impact of engaging with charitable organisations and how it benefits these organisations on a micro and macro level.
Joanne Popham, CEO of Popham Kidney Support, said:
“There has been a heavy focus on expanding our corporate partnership network in the last year, and is something we are striving to develop further in 2023. One of the ways to do this is to outline how this will benefit both charities and businesses alike and this business briefing event aims to do just that. We hope to see you there!”
