Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Bryngwy Residential Home in Rhayader, Powys.

Bryngwy Residential Home is an established care business registered to care for up to 24 residents at a time. It is located in Rhayader, a market town in mid-Wales that lies on the River Wye on the A470 north-south trunk route.

The home was brought to market to allow its previous owner to retire.

Following a confidential sales process with Oliver McCarthy at Christie & Co, it has been sold to Oakwood Care Ltd owned by Kuljit Grewal who also owns the award-winning Williamston Nursing Home in Houghton, Pembrokeshire.

Kuljit Grewal, the new owner of Bryngwy Residential Home, comments, “I’m really looking forward to the next chapter of Bryngwy Residential Home, where investment and technology will have a positive impact for the residents, staff, and the business.”

Oliver McCarthy, Director – Care at Christie & Co, comments, “I’m really pleased to have sold this great care home to Kuljit at Oakwood Care Ltd who, I am sure, will take it to the next level as he has done with his other home in Pembrokeshire.

“Demand remains strong for a range of care assets across the UK and, despite challenges faced by operators across the board, we expect appetite to continue from all buyer types.”

Bryngwy Residential Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
