Quadrant Shopping Centre is delighted to announce that its security team has been successfully shortlisted for ‘Security Team of the Year’ at this year’s prestigious SCEPTRE Awards.

The award category recognises best practice in shopping centre security and the centre’s team has been selected due to its ongoing dedication, pro-activeness and engaging customer service delivery to ensure visitors are able to shop in a safe and secure shopping environment.

Lisa Hartley, Quadrant Shopping Centre manager, said:

“We are thrilled as the team thoroughly deserve this nomination. They have worked incredibly hard to deliver an exceptional service for both the centre and general public. The team’s experienced and quick responses to situations and incidents as well as their friendly, approachable demeanour instills a huge level confidence in our shoppers.”

The team has developed a variety of security-led initiatives including the upgrade of analogue security radios to digital has increased clarity of communications and the installation of additional cameras has improved visibility in blind spots.

They have also worked hard to foster close working relationships with the retailers and neighbouring occupiers to assist in the sharing of information, fundamental in keeping well-informed of activities across the city.

Russell Greenslade, Chief Executive at the Swansea BID, added:

“We are in daily contact with retailers across the city and know first-hand how important security is to both the store staff, management team and also for shoppers and members of the public.

“The Quadrant Shopping Centre has always had a strong, competent and efficient security presence which is reflected in the welcoming shopping experience the centre offers to its visitors. They thoroughly deserve their nomination and we wish them all the best on the night.”

Held on the 20 June at the prestigious Dorchester Hotel in London, the SCEPTRE Awards recognise best practices and stand-out people in the shopping centre industry. It also identifies management teams, retailers and suppliers that demonstrate real excellence in the work they do.

“A SCEPTRE Award is such a highly-respected and recognised accolade in the shopping centre industry and we are really excited to find out if our team has won. We wish them the best of the luck,” concluded Lisa.
