Bridge Street in Pontypridd will be closed to eastbound traffic this Sunday morning (21 September) while an inspection of Victoria Bridge is carried out.

The closure will be in place from midnight until 10am on Sunday. During this time, traffic travelling away from Pontypridd will not be able to use Bridge Street.

Westbound traffic heading into Pontypridd will be unaffected, and pedestrian access will remain open throughout.

An alternative route for eastbound drivers will be signposted via Morgan Street, Gelliwastad Road, Catherine Street, Sardis Road, Broadway, the A470 Cross Valley Link Road, the Bridge Street slip road and Bridge Street Roundabout.

The inspection is part of ongoing work to assess Victoria Bridge and will help shape the scope of a future repair scheme.
