Signature Property Finance, one of the UK’s leading short-term property finance providers has recruited Consumer Behaviour and Marketing graduate Sam Pescott as the firm’s latest Client Relationship Executive, to help meet the growing funding demand from property developers.

Signature relocated its head office close to Cardiff in 2023 and continues to look locally for the talent needed to drive growth, whilst aiming to take advantage of opportunities across the region, with a recruitment strategy designed to further improve efficiency and deal speed.

Thomas Howells, Signature Chief Operating Officer commented: “Signature is committed to developing the next generation of Relationship Managers on which our business relies. Our business has a unique culture and a clear ethos about how we work as a lender, so being able to immerse young recruits in our ways is a big positive for us.

“As a leading principal bridging lender, headquartered in Wales, the roots of our business are firmly planted in the region, which makes us all the more determined to recruit locally. We are committed to supporting property developers across England and Scotland, but especially Wales, which is a current hotspot for housing development.

“Our Graduate Employment scheme, which has already seen Alex Smith return to complete his studies, has been an important part of our success and our ability to report record lending figures, year on year. Sam is good example of how a career in finance does not need an education based on the subject if you have the right attitude and the ability to learn.

“Our Client Relationship Executives support our Relationship Managers and learn on the job to achieve a fully-rounded understanding of the role and how we work. They have a role model that is mapping a similar career path, with Josh Barrett having joined in the CRE role and currently the firm’s first Associate Relationship Manager. We expect great things from Sam too.”

Sam Pescott, Signature Client Relationship Executive commented: “This is a great opportunity for me to develop a career in finance, with a route already laid out by Josh, who has shown what is possible with application, dedication and plenty of hands-on practical experience.

“As a local, it is also immensely gratifying to join a successful business headquartered in Wales, with a nationwide offering that gives me the opportunity to grow into a role that may take me out of the region as I play my part in helping property developers deliver the quality homes the country needs.

Howells concludes: “Sam has already shown he is a hardworking, highly motivated and committed individual with the mentality and initiative to always try and improve. He is a great addition to our team, bringing the ambition and drive needed to take our service to the next level, to ensure we continue to offer the certainty of funding for which Signature is renowned.”
