It is not every night that a global superstar rolls into SA1, but that is exactly what has happened ahead of Swansea City’s Championship clash with Preston North End this evening.
Swansea City have confirmed that Snoop Dogg is making his first visit to the Swansea.com Stadium for tonight’s 7.45pm kick off. It marks his first appearance in south Wales since becoming part of the club’s ownership group in July 2025.
The multi million platinum selling artist has followed the Swans’ progress from afar, but tonight he will be cheering on Vitor Matos’ side in person. Supporters can also expect to see him pitchside before the game as he leads a pre match fan display, with further details set to be announced.
Alongside attending the match, the 21 time Grammy nominee and four time Emmy award winner has been spending time with fans and meeting members of the local community, taking in life in the city and the wider region ahead of the fixture.
When he joined the ownership group last year, Snoop spoke about how the club’s working class roots played a big part in his decision to get involved. He has also said he has been eager to experience a match under the lights at the Swansea.com Stadium, and tonight he gets his wish.
Team news as Walta makes first start
On the pitch, Vitor Matos has made two changes from the side that beat Bristol City at the weekend.
Leo Walta makes his first Swansea City start, with the Finland international coming in for Melker Widell. Ronald also returns to the starting line up at the expense of Gustavo Nunes.

The Swans are otherwise unchanged.
Lawrence Vigouroux starts in goal behind a back four of Ethan Galbraith, Ben Cabango, who captains the side, Cameron Burgess and Josh Tymon.
In midfield, Jay Fulton and Goncalo Franco are joined by Walta, while Ronald and Jisung Eom provide the width.
Top scorer Zan Vipotnik leads the line for the hosts as Swansea look to build on their weekend momentum.
Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux; Ethan Galbraith, Ben Cabango (captain), Cameron Burgess, Josh Tymon; Jay Fulton, Goncalo Franco, Leo Walta; Ronald, Jisung Eom, Zan Vipotnik.
