Residents living in the south of the county and looking for a job will benefit from attending the South Powys Jobs Fair in Brecon on Wednesday 25 May, 9.30am – 1pm, where they can meet many potential employers showcasing their vacancies and employment opportunities.

Organised in partnership with Careers Wales, Communities for Work+, Department for Work and Pensions and the Mid Wales Manufacturing Group, the free event at the Castle Hotel is open to everyone. Whether you’re hoping to find a fresh start, a better job, or a new career direction, you will find a wealth of exciting opportunities with numerous local employers from a variety of sectors.

The response from local employers wishing to take part in the jobs fair has been excellent. Powys Teaching Health Board, Beacon Foods, Morrisons, Greggs, Compass Group, Capital Cuisine, Old Railway Line, Phoenix, Abacare, Cartrefi Cymru, PCI Pharma and Powys County Council are just some of those already signed up to attend the event.

“This event will connect our communities talented job seekers with Powys employers looking to recruit and is a great way to meet face-to-face, to discuss vacancies and career options, network and make contacts.” Explains Nigel Brinn, Executive Director Economy and Environment.

“This is a free event and open to everyone looking for new opportunities, with staff available on the day to offer support to jobseekers, should they require any additional help to secure employment. We hope to see you there.”
