Members of the team at RPS Technology Solutions have eagerly taken on the challenge to participate in Cardiff 10K and Cardiff Half, the UK’s second largest half marathon on an iconic course around Wales’ capital city. In addition, they will be hosting a Big Breakfast in November with a collection for donations, showcasing their continued support for the firms appointed charity, Prostate Cymru.

RPS are a South Wales based telecommunications provider, leading the industry with over 50 years of experience. Offering a wide range of services, the firm specialise in Voice Over IP Telecom solutions and support services, providing SME’s with the technology needed to help their businesses grow.

In March of this year, the telecoms firm announced that their chosen charity was Prostate Cymru, a voluntary group dedicated the fighting prostate cancer.

Prostate Cymru was established in 2008 and is the leading charity in the Principality working with medical professionals in the fight against all prostate diseases. Its mission is to raise awareness, promote understanding and fund both the latest medical equipment and the training of healthcare professionals.

The charity was set up in order to provide men across Wales with equal access to testing, treatment, knowledge and support. RPS have long been avid supporters of the charity, having previously assisted them by installing an entirely new and effective telecommunication system to aid the charity in their vital work.

Keen to maintain this support, members of the team at RPS planned the series of fundraising activities, aiming to raise as much money for Prostate Cymru as possible.

With the date of the half marathon fast approaching, Marc Jones, Senior Engineer at RPS, is training hard, eager to show his support for Prostate Cymru.

He said: “Here at RPS, we are proud to support such a brilliant charity, whose work continues to make a positive difference in fighting prostate cancer. I am excited to be running the half marathon for such a worthy cause.”

Natalie Strange, Operations and Marketing Manager at RPS, is showing her support by entering the Cardiff 10K.

She added: “I’m excited to be running the Cardiff 10K this September. To be able to do it whilst supporting such a good cause is even better. After completing the race, I look forward to all of us at RPS continuing to support Prostate Cymru in further fundraising activities.”
