Winners of the 2019 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards have been revealed at the annual wet leisure industry gala evening, held during SPATEX at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry (on 29th January 2019).

The annual Industry Gala Evening brings together BISHTA (British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association) and SPATA (Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association) in a joint event to highlight the achievements of their members in the wet leisure industry, by showcasing the best examples of design, construction, installation and innovation.

Local company, Oyster Pools & Leisure, based in South Wales, were awarded Gold in the Peter Geekie Award for Retail Excellence category.

Barry and Paula McCabe of Oyster Pools & Leisure commented:

“Oyster Pools & Leisure is one the UK’s longest established specialist companies for swimming pools and hot tubs.

“We have been successfully building pools for over 40 years and have been installing hot tubs for over 17 years. We joined SPATA in 1986 and during our SPATA membership, we have won numerous awards.

“We are extremely pleased to win this outstanding accolade at the 2019 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards.”

Presenting the top awards on the night was special guest Charlie Matthews, from Wasps Rugby Football Club, based at the Ricoh Arena. Charlie’s towering presence as a 6ft 8in lock was a huge feature for the Award recipients!
