The former Treorchy Hotel, recently run as The Flamingo Cabaret Bar, is for sale through South Wales based Paul Fosh Auctions.

The property is listed with a guide price of £165,000.

James Holingsworth, of Paul Fosh Auctions, said: “The former Treorchy Hotel, on a corner plot at 165, Bute Street in the town, with two main function rooms together with a couple of smaller seating areas and bar areas, could be a  wonderful investment opportunity.

“The upper floors of the premises, which was run for a while as the Flamingo Cabaret Bar, provides residential accommodation including three bedrooms, a kitchen and living room. There is parking to the rear.

“The successful purchaser of the property would have the option to continue to operate the premises as a pub or perhaps to let it as a commercial investment. There is also the potential for redevelopment into residential accommodation or flats, subject to obtaining the  necessary planning consents.

“We’ve been informed by the vendor that when the property was operating as the Flamingo Bar, it achieved approximately £550 per week in rental income. The property is now offered with vacant possession as no tenancy is currently in place.”

The next Paul Fosh Auctions sale, when this lot along with some ninety others will be on offer, starts at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 16 and ends from 5pm on Thursday, December 18.
