St David’s Cardiff has today announced the return of its extremely popular charity initiative, the ‘Toy Appeal’, where shoppers can donate a gift directly to local charities this Christmas.

Last year saw hundreds of gifts donated in the first week alone by generous St David’s Cardiff shoppers, and this year charities will need support more than ever.

Located near the Clogau store on the lower level between 27th November – 20th December, The Toy Appeal will allow guests to pick up an extra item or two during their Christmas shopping trip and place the unwrapped gift into the donation box under the tree.

The centre has also introduced ‘Tap to Donate’ – meaning those who are short on time but still want to make a real difference this Christmas can donate via contactless payment. All donations and money raised through the contactless donation point will be used to purchase gifts and other much needed items on behalf of local charities.

James Waugh, General Manager for St David’s Cardiff has said “It’s so important for us to give back to the local community, particularly at Christmas which can be a difficult time for many. We are sure our customers will give generously and enable everyone to have a happy Christmas period this year.”
