The Toy Appeal supports over 20 incredible charities in Wales, and St David’s wants to make that every child in South Wales receives a Christmas gift.

From 1st December until Christmas (23rd December), St David’s is asking its customers, and visitors to the city, to buy an extra gift for a child in need.  Shoppers can drop their donations off at the in-centre Donation Station where a team of festive helpers will be making sure that gifts are delivered safely in time to start the celebrations.

The appeal, launched in 2015, has seen the generosity of shoppers donate nearly 24,000 gifts so far. Charities taking part include Barnardo’s, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, Ty Hafan, Dreams & Wishes, Valley’s Kids and Latch.

Steven Madeley, General Manager for St David’s, commented:

“Over the past three years, our shoppers have shown extraordinary generosity, allowing us to donate more toys every year to amazing charities that provide such vital services in the community, and we need your help to continue this.

“Last year, we also saw lots of local businesses and schools also getting involved, and we hope this year will be the same, so we can achieve our mission to ensure more children across South Wales have a Christmas to remember. All we ask is you pick up something extra when buying your gifts and help us reach our target, so more children will have a memorable Christmas.”

Shoppers who want to take part can head to the Donation Station in the centre, located near the Clogau store.
