    Swansea site manager awarded prestigious ‘Seal of Excellence’

    Barratt and David Wilson Homes South Wales is celebrating Swansea site manager, Dave Jones — one of only eight site managers awarded with a ‘Seal of Excellence’ in Wales at the 2024 National House Building Council’s Pride in the Job Awards.

    Awarded a Pride in the Job Quality Award earlier in the year, Dave has now received the prestigious ‘Seal of Excellence’ — for demonstrating exceptional standards at his Pentref Llewelyn development in Penllergaer.

    The development consists of 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom homes — with green open spaces and a park for children to enjoy. The development is also within walking distance of the waterfalls of Penllergaer Valley Woods and has easy commuter links to both Swansea and Cardiff.

    Every site manager who is registered with the NHBC is automatically entered into the awards, with just a small select group being awarded the Seal of Excellence from over 8,000 entrants — showcasing the top 2% in British housebuilding.

    The judges look at a range of key criteria including consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety — helping to build quality standards across both developments and teams.

    On receipt of the award, Dave Jones said: “It’s an honour to receive such a prestigious award for the hard work put in, not only by myself, but by everyone who has contributed to the development at Pentref Llewelyn.

    “Building high-quality homes for our customers really is a team effort, and this award reflects the dedication and commitment of the whole team in doing just that.”

    David Kelland, Commercial Director at Barratt Developments South Wales, added: “We are proud to have so many exceptional Pride in the Job Award award-winning site managers within our team.
