Organised by 4 The Region, the free Start-Up Expo 2025 event is aimed at people across Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea who are either thinking about starting a business or existing businesspeople looking for advice, inspiration and connections.

Taking place at Swansea Arena on Wednesday March 5, the event will give an opportunity to hear from local entrepreneurs, find out about funding and support that’s available, and meet organisations that can give free business advice.

A number of exhibitors will also be on hand and workshops will be held on a range of topics including account management and social media tips.

Speakers will include Ian Morgan, of Morganstone, who’ll be talking about his business journey.

Swansea Council is supporting the event through the UK Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Other event partners and sponsors include Swansea University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Scale project that provides support to small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Investment, Regeneration and Tourism, said: “This event follows-on from the success of a similar event last year that attracted close to 350 prospective entrepreneurs from across Swansea and South West Wales as a whole.

“The 2025 Start-Up Expo will again offer a one-stop-shop for both existing businesses and anyone who’s interested in setting up a business to find out more about sources of funding and support as well as recommendations on digital marketing and other helpful topics.

“We’re delighted to be an event partner once again and would encourage as many businesses and aspiring businesspeople as possible to attend.”
