Niche family law firm Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice has announced two internal promotions following another successful year.

Developing the next generation of family lawyers, the latest round of promotions demonstrates the firm’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting from within.

Newly qualified solicitor Lucy Chandler joined the firm in January 2016 as a Paralegal and has now completed her training contract. During that time Ms Chandler has worked on a varied range of complex and high value cases, developing her skills and experience across the spectrum of family law.

Commenting on her promotion, Lucy said:

“I have learned so much during my training at Wendy Hopkins Family Law Practice and I’m absolutely delighted to have qualified as a solicitor in Wales’ longest established firm of specialist family lawyers. I’m now looking forward to managing my own cases and I am focused on developing my career here.”

New Trainee Solicitor Bethan Tapper joined the family law specialists in April 2018 having completed her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law Bristol where she achieved an overall Distinction and was an award-winning student.

Her hard work and clear passion for family law has led to her quickly winning a training contract at the Cardiff firm, about which Bethan says she is “absolutely delighted. I have always been really interested in this area of the law so I’m really pleased to be continuing on my journey to becoming a family law solicitor with one of the most respected firms in the country”.

    Director Melanie Hamer said:

“We are thrilled to announce our two latest promotions, which are thoroughly deserved by both Lucy and Bethan as a result of their commitment and dedication along with the significant value they add to the firm. These appointments build on a very successful period during which we were awarded Family Law Firm of the Year- Wales (Family Law Awards – November 2017) and were top ranked by leading independent researchers the Legal 500 and Chambers UK, on both company and individual levels, which means a great deal to us as it is largely based on client satisfaction and feedback.”
