RCT Council has announced that Catherine Street Car Park in Pontypridd will temporarily close for four days from June 13 – to install new ticket machines, while also taking the opportunity to clean the facility.

Work to replace the ticket machine infrastructure will take place from Monday, June 13, to Thursday, June 16. The installations require the former NCP car park to close on a temporary basis, and it will reopen as normal from Friday, June 17.

Taking advantage of this required closure, the Council’s Facilities Cleaning team will attend the site to cleanse all public areas – including all car park areas, foyers, stairwells and lifts – for the benefit of car park users.

Alternative car parks are available at a number of locations around Pontypridd Town Centre, including five Council-owned facilities – Gas Road Car Park (short-stay, open for 24 hours), Goods Yard Car Park (long-stay, open for 24 hours), Millfield Car Park (long-stay, open for 24 hours), Berw Road Car Park (long-stay, 7am-7pm) and Sardis Road Car Park (long-stay, 7am-7pm).
