A popular wellness festival is set to return to Pembrokeshire in 2026, while also expanding to a brand new location for the first time.
The Big Retreat Festival has confirmed it will be back in Lawrenny from 23 to 26 May 2026, marking its seventh year in Wales. At the same time, organisers have announced the launch of a second event in Cambridgeshire, taking place from 11 to 13 September 2026.
Held in the coastal village of Lawrenny within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, The Big Retreat has grown into one of the UK’s best known feel good festivals, combining music, wellness, creativity, outdoor adventure and food in a relaxed and inclusive setting.
As one of the first major festivals of the year, the Welsh event is designed to kickstart the summer season, offering a long weekend of live performances, wellbeing experiences and simple living. Headliners already confirmed include DJ Fat Tony, Rebecca Ferguson, Catrin Finch and Dr Peter Lovatt.
The festival follows a build your own escape approach, allowing guests to choose their pace across more than 300 curated experiences. These range from fitness classes, yoga and breathwork to arts and crafts, talks, wild swimming and evening music sessions.
Live music plays a key role in the experience, with performances across the weekend alongside quieter acoustic moments, singalongs and reflective sessions. Artists and speakers also take part in talks, sharing personal stories and ideas focused on wellbeing, creativity and connection.
Daytime activities at the Welsh festival include yoga overlooking the estuary, paddleboarding and wild swimming on the Cleddau, as well as food demonstrations from well known chefs and writers. For those looking to fully switch off, the Woodland Spa offers saunas, hot tubs and massage treatments in a natural setting.
Organisers say the festival is rooted in balance, offering both energising and calming experiences in equal measure, with a focus on helping people reconnect with themselves, others and the natural world.
The newly announced Cambridgeshire edition will follow the same feel good format and guiding message of Feel Good Your Way. It will be held at the Abbots Ripton estate and is aimed at providing a restorative late summer escape in the countryside, expanding the festival’s reach beyond Wales for the first time.
Tickets for The Big Retreat Wales start from £269 for a four day adult pass, with day tickets available from £79. Children under five can attend for free. Further details and the full line up can be found on the official festival website.
