The Cameo Club has confirmed it will shut its Pontcanna venue at the end of 2019.

The members-only club, which has operated in its current venue for more than 20 years has announced it only has a few more days of trading.

In a statement on Facebook, they said:

“We can confirm that The Cameo Club Pontcanna’s last day of business with be New Year’s Eve.

“We have agreed to lease the building to the very talented Welsh Chef Tom Simmons, who will launch his exciting signature restaurant in mid February.

“Many thanks to the numerous wonderful customers & staff who’ve supported The Cameo over the 20 years that we have owned the club.

“Hopefully you’ll get the chance to enjoy a final few drinks with us up to and including New Year’s Eve.”

The Cameo won’t be selling tickets to their New Year’s Eve bash, but they will be operating a guest list. Message the club on Facebook to be added.

The Wellfield Road venue will continue to run as normal.
