DJI is one of the leading companies in the travel drones industry and has cemented that position with the introduction of its latest addition, the Mavic 3. The compact drone comes in two variants and features two cameras, a huge battery and some of the best features in your class.

The main 4/3 sensor is made by Hasselblad and has a resolution of 20MP. It has a focal length of 24mm and variable aperture from F2.8 to F11. The second 1/2 sensor is telephoto and offers up to 7x zoom or the equivalent of 162mm. Its resolution is 12MP and the aperture is F4.4.

    Camera

In terms of shooting features, the main camera supports up to 5.1K resolution with up to 50fps, 4K with up to 120fps and 1080p with up to 200fps. Photos can be in RAW or JPEG format. The second camera only records 4K at 30 frames per second and JPEG photos.

    Cine Premium Version

Along with the standard Mavic 3, DJI also introduced a Cine version that features a built-in 1TB SSD, instead of the standard version’s 8GB. Cine can also shoot in Apple ProRes 422HQ format and comes with a remote with a built-in display.

The two drones are equipped with a 5000mAh battery that allows up to 46 minutes of flight under ideal conditions and direct 65W charging via the USB Type-C port on the drone. The range reaches up to 15 km in the absence of buildings and other obstacles and up to 3 km in an urban environment.

Also, both drones use new sensors that scan all directions and avoid obstacles, and the auto-retract function has been improved and works with the most optimal path possible.

Prices for the standard model start at €2,099 for the standard model and €2,799 in the Fly More Combo package with three batteries, transfer case and filters, while the Dji Mavic 3 Cine Premium Combo costs €4,799 with the included remote.
