The Fratellis have confirmed a Cardiff date as part of a major UK tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album Costello Music.
The Scottish indie rock band will play Cardiff’s Great Hall on Friday 6 February 2026, bringing one of the most recognisable British albums of the 2000s back to the stage almost two decades after its release. The Cardiff show will see fans hear Costello Music performed live, including crowd favourites Henrietta, Whistle for the Choir and the era defining Chelsea Dagger.
Released in 2006, Costello Music launched The Fratellis into the spotlight with its sharp hooks, swaggering vocals and singalong choruses. The album quickly became a staple of British guitar music and helped establish the band as a must see live act.
The upcoming tour follows a busy period for the band, including festival appearances this summer and a slot on the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury. The anniversary run begins at Nottingham’s Rock City on 5 February before heading to Cardiff the following night, with further dates across England concluding in Newcastle on 20 February.
Since their debut, The Fratellis have released six studio albums, most recently Drunk Under a Full Moon in 2021, which showed a more expansive sound while maintaining the energy that first won them fans. Despite their later success, the band are now turning back to the record that started it all.
