The Welsh Business Awards open for entries

Entries for the widely anticipated Welsh Business Awards have opened, providing businesses across the country with the opportunity to compete for top place in one of the region’s most prestigious accolades.

A celebration of innovation, growth and success within Welsh industry, this glitzy award gala dinner is set to be held at City Hall on March 5th 2020.

The application process launches today and will close on December 6th, with the finalists set to be announced on January 27th. 

Harri Lloyd-Davies, President of the South Wales Chambers of Commerce said: “The economic development of Wales relies heavily on businesses both big and small. The Awards are a positive way of acknowledging the relentless efforts of Welsh businesses and their talented employees.

 “Our expectations continue to be surpassed every year with the calibre and diversity of applicants to the Welsh Business Awards and we look forward to seeing this year’s applicants as the event grows year on year.”

The University of South Wales are Headline Sponsors again this year. At last year’s award ceremony, the night’s biggest winner was CellPath Ltd who won the Success Through Overseas Trade category, before being named Welsh Business of the Year, at the ceremony, which was hosted by Welsh presenter Gethin Jones.

On their impressive win at last years’ awards, Dr Neil Haine from CellPath Ltd said: “We’re very proud to be recognised at the Welsh Business Awards and be named Welsh Business of the Year. It showcases the hard work our innovative team puts in daily.”
