Cheers Wine Merchants, an independent, family-run Swansea business has partnered up with The Gower Gin Company to offer customers a new service – a gin-refilling station.

Located at the Newton Road shop, the refilling station is a first for Mumbles and quite possibly, the first of it’s kind in Wales.
“We’re always looking to innovate,” said Cheers director Dafydd Morris, “and a discussion with Andrew Brooks of Gower Gin about how we can make both our businesses more environmentally friendly resulted in the refilling station idea.”
Using 5-litre mason jars, customers can bring in a used Gower Gin bottle and refill it with a choice of GŴYR Rhosili, the gold award-winning gin at the 2020 world gin awards, GŴYR Bara-Brith, GŴYR Pinwydd
and the classic GŴYR original gin.
“We are mindful of our impact on the environment,” said Andrew, “and think this is a great way to encourage customers to re-use their bottles, and as refills are £5 cheaper than buying a new bottle, we’re confident it will be a success.”
