Following a successful rebrand Academic Venue Solutions (formerly Venuemasters) are proud to welcome three new members into the consortium, Cardiff University, the University of South Wales and ORTUS.

Cardiff University and the University of South Wales offer both city and rural locations – a USP that not all venues can offer, and conveniently located just off the M4 corridor.

The University of South Wales can offer event organisers venues in Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd, ideal spaces for meetings and training courses, through to exhibitions and residential conferences. Venues are available all year round, and during the summer their portfolio is extended to include en suite accommodation, large auditoriums for up to 800 delegates, exhibition halls of 805sqm, plus onsite marquees and sports facilities.

A further Welsh option comes in the form of Cardiff University who also offer city centre meeting facilities. Their venues include Birchwood House, a purpose designed conference centre suitable for events up to 230 delegates, with an exhibition area (148sqm) and seven breakout rooms. Additional meeting facilities are also available at Cathays Campus which is situated in the heart of the civic centre, and Aberdare Hall. Plus from mid-June to early September there are 1,300 bedrooms available, perfect for groups and residential events.

The other venue joining the ever growing portfolio is ORTUS, located in central London. The venue was originally built by the Maudsley Charity to provide meeting and training spaces for the south London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. ORTUS is easily accessible, located just two minutes’ walk from Denmark Hill underground station. As a non-residential venue they have 1,500sqm of flexible event space over four floors, there largest room can accommodate up to 150 theatre style.

Natalie Williamson, General Manager at Academic Venue Solutions, commented:

“I’m delighted to be able to welcome three new members into consortium so soon after the rebrand. Our portfolio of over 40 venues provides event planners with a great selection of facilities. Both Welsh venues provide an extra dimension to the university venues that we have, whilst ORTUS is another great example of how we aim to expand the membership to other types of academic venues.”

Academic Venue Solutions offer a free enquiry service. Whether you’re looking for a historic building, or a modern lecture theatre with the latest audio-visual technology, you’ll find something to suit your needs. For more information visit https://academicvenuesolutions.co.uk.
