When Beyoncé became the first black woman to top the Billboard Hot Country chart last month, it was hailed as a breakthrough moment for country music – and undisputable confirmation that the genre was truly having ‘a moment’.

Now, Cardiff Bay’s Tiger Yard is set to ride the country music wave on Saturday, June 1st as it plays host to a brand-new event, ‘One Night in Tigerville.’

Showcasing the best of Nashville’s country music hits, the event will be headlined by One Night in Nashville, a phenomenal live band renowned for their electrifying performances of country music’s greatest hits. From toe-tapping classics to modern chart-toppers, attendees will be treated to an array of melodies that capture the essence of Nashville’s famed country music scene, ranging from Dolly Parton to Beyonce to Billy Ray Cyrus.

“We are thrilled to bring the spirit of Nashville to Cardiff,‘” said James Mead, General Manager at Tiger Yard. “This event is a celebration of all things country, from the music to the atmosphere – because this ain’t Texas… it’s Tigerville!”

In addition to the live music on offer, ‘One Night in Tigerville’ will feature a range of themed street food and specialist cocktails from Tiger Yard’s resident traders. Guests will be able to perch on hay bale seating and tuck into special menus from Dirty Bird Fried Chicken, Fire & Flank, Terry’s Tacos and Meating Point UK. Guest traders for one night only St Amand BBQ will also be serving up Southern classics like pork belly pin-wheels, St Louis BBQ ribs and smoked steak tips.

Doors for ‘One Night in Tigerville’ will open at 5pm, welcoming guests into the vibrant atmosphere of Tiger Yard as evening draws in.  Tickets for ‘One Night in Tigerville’ will be available from 10am on Wednesday 3rd April; sign up for first access to tickets at: bit.ly/tigervillecountry. With limited availability and high demand expected, early booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.
