Liverpool-based pro wrestling outfit TNT Extreme Wrestling will be coming to Cardiff for a special exhibition show on September 4th.

Entitled Reign of Fire, TNT’s show will bring their trademark style of wrestling to the Welsh capital as part of a blockbuster weekend of sports entertainment anchored by a massive WWE stadium show.

Emanating live from the heart of the city from the Tramshed music venue, the show will feature a mixture of TNT’s homegrown stars as well as a line-up of exciting Welsh talent. Confirmed to appear are TNT World Champion Dan Moloney, former Progress World Champion Mark Haskins, Session Moth Martina, The Liverbirds, YouTube star Simon Miller and Cardiff’s Jay Joshua.

The TNT show is part of a huge weekend of pro wrestling, as WWE returns to the United Kingdom for their marquee event Clash at the Castle. This marks the first time in 30 years that the American wrestling giants have presented a stadium show in the UK and the first time ever for Wales.

Over 90,000 people are expected to be in attendance for WWE’s show, meaning all eyes will be on the UK’s flourishing independent scene – one that TNT has been at the forefront of for years.

The company is known for their over-18s wrestling shows which emphasises extreme and intense action. This will be the first time that TNT has left the city of Liverpool since the company’s inception in 2015, and company chiefs expect it to be a big weekend.

“I cannot wait to come to Cardiff,” said owner Jay Apter. “I believe we’ve built something very special in Liverpool and now it’s time for the rest of the UK to see what we’re all about.”

“Wales is a special place and we can’t wait to introduce them to TNT.”

The company has played host to notable wrestling names such as Scott Hall, PAC and El Phantasmo. In September, TNT will welcome Matt Cardona (formerly known as WWE’s Zack Ryder) as part of a three-night event in Liverpool with popular American promotion Game Changer Wrestling.

TNT is set to be one half of a wrestling double bill where Progress Wrestling will present their show Wrestling. Golf. Madrid. In That Order in the afternoon while TNT’s Reign Of Fire takes place in the evening.

Tickets are still available for Reign of Fire on the dice.fm/ website.
