The award-winning Vale Resort, nestled in the heart of Vale of Glamorgan countryside, has completed the final phase of its extensive £100,000 refurbishment of the Vale Spa, just in time for guests to indulge in summer relaxation.

The culmination of this significant investment is the unveiling of brand-new luxury relaxation zones, carefully designed to elevate the spa experience by offering guests an inspiring choice of tranquil and sociable spaces. The resort has also launched a new online booking system making it even easier for visitors to plan their perfect escape.

The newly completed relaxation areas include The Silent Cwtch: a serene, atmospherically-lit retreat with seven heated water beds in the main space and complemented by two smaller sections, each housing two additional heated water beds. This deeply restorative environment has been created for guests in search of quiet contemplation or total relaxation; a restorative space within which to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and unwind before or after a rejuvenating treatment.

The Chromatherapy Suite: a relaxing space with wooden rocker style seating uses colour light therapy to restore balance to the body and mind. Chromotherapy states each colour has a specific vibration frequency and relates to different physical symptoms. It is said to work by interacting with the body’s energy systems to reduce tension, promote healing and have a soothing effect.

The Aromatherapy Cube: this space offers 4 Nu Wave beds with a wave and pulse motion using heat to relax the muscles and features an innovative S shaped curve where zero gravity wave positioning helps the circulatory system and eases back pain. Therapeutic aroma also helps to calm the body, mind and spirit, leaving spa guests revived and rejuvenated.

For those wishing to unwind together, the upgraded Vale Spa also now offers a vibrant, bright and sociable relaxation lounge overlooking the swimming pool. Featuring a mix of loungers, Bali beds, sofas and table seating, this space has been finished in calming neutral tones to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for groups of friends.

Complementing the new, luxurious spa a collaboration with Elemis; world renowned for its indulgent, results driven treatments and effective spa and aromatherapy products, which will be used across the Vale Spa’s extensive treatment menu.

Following on from a treatment, guests are able to refuel with a balanced lunch, using locally sourced ingredients, designed to complement their spa experience and served in the relaxed surroundings of the Vale Grill Restaurant. The Spa Chai Cafe also offers fresh coffee, soft drinks and sweet treats.

In line with these new facilities, the Vale Resort has introduced a dedicated online booking system for all spa treatments. Guests can now book treatments and half day spa visits at their convenience, with more than 20 treatments available; from the popular Elemis Expert Touch Reveal Facial, to the rejuvenating Temple Spa Rock of the Mediterranean massage.

Debbie Searle, Spa Manager at Vale Resort, commented:
“We are delighted to have completed this exciting final phase of our refurbishment, which has transformed the Vale Spa into one of the most spacious and versatile hotel spa destinations in the UK. With the launch of our new relaxation zones and online booking system, we are confident that guests will find it easier than ever to enjoy a completely personalised and memorable experience with us.”
