Wales is set for a mostly dry and settled few days, according to the latest Met Office forecast, with pleasant autumn sunshine expected across much of the country heading into the weekend.
Thursday
Any remaining mist and fog patches will lift quickly after dawn, making way for a dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny intervals. It’ll feel mild and comfortable in the sunshine, with temperatures reaching up to 18°C.
Thursday night
Cloud will build in from the east later this evening, while the west could see clearer skies leading to a chilly night with patches of mist and fog. Minimum temperatures are expected to drop to around 6°C.
Friday
A cloudy start is likely in places, but conditions should brighten with plenty of autumn sunshine developing into the afternoon. Temperatures will peak around 17°C before another cool night ahead under clear skies.
Weekend outlook (Saturday to Monday)
High pressure will continue to dominate, keeping the weather largely settled. Expect a mix of sunshine and cloud, with the chance of occasional drizzle. Light winds and overnight fog patches could make mornings feel cool and crisp, especially in rural areas.
Despite the calmer outlook, Natural Resources Wales currently has several flood warnings in place for parts of South East and South West Wales, following recent heavy rainfall. Residents are urged to stay updated on the latest alerts via the Natural Resources Wales flood warning service.
Overall, it’s shaping up to be a fine autumn weekend for most of Wales, with mild days, chilly nights, and some lovely sunny spells to enjoy between the clouds.
