Wales is set to enjoy a spell of fine and increasingly warm weather over the next few days, according to the Met Office, with temperatures expected to climb well above average before conditions turn more unsettled later in the week.

This evening and overnight, it will remain dry with clear skies across much of the country. Some mist and fog patches may develop, particularly in rural areas, while coastal locations stay breezy. Temperatures are set to dip, with a chilly night expected and a risk of frost in the countryside as lows fall to around 2°C.

Tuesday will bring a bright and sunny start for many, although high cloud will gradually spread in from the west, turning sunshine hazy by around midday. Despite this, it will feel warm, especially in any prolonged sunny spells, with temperatures reaching highs of 23°C.

Looking ahead, the settled conditions are expected to continue into Wednesday, with largely fine and warm weather persisting for much of the day. However, rain is forecast to move in from the west later on.

By Thursday, the weather will turn cooler with showery conditions developing, before a more significant change arrives on Friday. Forecasters say it is likely to become wet and windy to end the working week, bringing a noticeable shift from the earlier spring warmth.
