Newport headquartered Storage Giant, the UK’s largest independent self-storage provider, has announced the opening of its latest store which brings the business to Kidderminster.

The Kidderminster store, now open, is the 16th self-storage and office rental facility in Storage Giant’s roster, representing the award-winning storage firm’s continued growth strategy in action since its most recent store opening in Stoke-on-Trent in 2024.

At the multi-level site in Ratio Park, Kidderminster, Storage Giant brings over 500 self-storage units ranging from small locker units to 500sq ft units suitable to house a business.

What’s more, the site will soon welcome small businesses and start-ups to its flexible office rental space, supporting local business development and incubating the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Since opening with a single self-storage facility in Newport, in 2007, Storage Giant has grown to 16 sites across Wales and England. Having been named Self-Storage Business of the Year for 2025 and clinching the Customer Service Excellence Award at the SME News UK Enterprise Awards, and shortlisted as a finalist for Business to Business Service at the 2025 Great British Industry Awards, the firm’s growth cements its reputation as a leading self-storage provider for businesses and private customers across the UK.

Long-term, Storage Giant Kidderminster will also support the local economy through job creation, hiring for positions across management and customer service, alongside job incubation through SME support. The brownfield site facility recently completed construction, representing a £5m investment in the local economy through site purchase, construction and employment spend.

Simon Williams, Founder and Managing Director of Storage Giant, said: “Our expansion to Kidderminster exemplifies our ambitious growth plans in action, with our latest plans to bring low-cost storage solutions to businesses, house-movers, students, and private customers looking to free up extra space in Kidderminster.

“Our Storage Giant sites in the nearby regions of Kingswinford, Oldbury, Cannock, and Telford have known fantastic success rates to date, with strong teams who prioritise our customers’ individual needs. We know the Kidderminster team will take the same customer-first approach, and we look forward to joining the local business community in this new market for Storage Giant when we open our doors.

“As we continue to enter new markets across the UK, our values remain as they have always been: outstanding customer service, with flexible storage solutions in a modern, clean, safe and secure environment at the most competitive prices.”
