Fast-rising Welsh singer-songwriter Brook Fox is set to support Emeli Sandé at a world-exclusive orchestral performance in North Wales this summer.

The BBC Radio Wales A-Lister will open the show on Friday 10 July as part of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, bringing his indie-rock sound and heartfelt songwriting to one of Wales’ most iconic stages.

Hailing from the coastal town of Burry Port, Brook Fox first began writing music during the 2020 pandemic, drawing inspiration from artists including Sam Fender and Catfish and the Bottlemen. Blending indie-pop and rock influences, he has developed a distinctive sound centred around emotional honesty and relatable storytelling.

Brook has already made a name for himself on the live circuit, supporting acts including Keyside and Mali Haf, while also appearing on festival line-ups alongside McFly and Kaiser Chiefs.

His debut EP Everybody’s in Love is due for release later this month, with organisers describing his appearance at the Eisteddfod as a major milestone in what is shaping up to be a breakthrough year.

The concert will see Emeli Sandé perform alongside The Absolute Orchestra in a specially arranged orchestral show conducted by the festival’s Artistic Director Dave Danford.

Sandé rose to fame with her debut album Our Version of Events, which featured hits including Next to Me, Read All About It (Part III), and Clown. The album became the UK’s biggest-selling album of 2012 and helped establish her as one of Britain’s most celebrated music artists.

Since then, she has continued to evolve musically through albums including Let’s Say For Instance and How Were We to Know, earning multiple BRIT Awards, an Ivor Novello Award and an MBE for services to music.

The Absolute Orchestra has become known for its cross-genre collaborations with artists including KT Tunstall and Kosheen, with the Llangollen performance set to blend soul, pop and orchestral music.

Dave Danford said: “Bringing together world-class artists with bold new voices is at the heart of what makes Llangollen and the Eisteddfod so special. Brook Fox is an exceptional emerging talent and pairing him with Emeli Sandé and The Absolute Orchestra will create a night that celebrates both the future and the brilliance of live music.”

Founded in 1947, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod remains one of the world’s best-known celebrations of music, dance and international friendship.

Following a record-breaking 2025, organisers say the 2026 festival is set to be its most ambitious yet, with an expanded programme of competitions, concerts and large-scale collaborations featuring internationally renowned artists.

Final tickets for the performance are now available through the festival website.
