What Will Be the Online Gaming Trends In 2022?

Mobile gaming is the one trend that continues to grow, and there is not even the slightest sign of it slowing down anytime soon. Put into figures, Newzoo predicted that mobile gaming was to hit $85 billion in revenue by the end of 2021. It now predicts that the revenue numbers will hit the dizzy heights of $100 billion by the end of 2023. These staggering numbers ultimately mean mobile gaming is outperforming all other platforms. What does this all mean for gaming in Wales during 2022? In short, better games and better experiences across all mobile devices.

Mobile Continues to be the Future of iGaming

The big takeaway is that we will continue to see more mobile games being made available to the growing community of gamers in Wales and across the globe. The trick has always been to provide the best possible gaming experiences on mobile devices. A hard task when you consider the sheer power of PCs, PlayStations, and the Xbox.

Still, mobile devices are becoming more powerful each year. Some games already outperform older console titles, so the technology is there.

Fortnite, PUBG, and games like Clash of Clans have all become world beaters in the mobile gaming world. But mobile gaming also spills out into other areas. One of the biggest revenue industries is online casinos. Many people log in and enjoy online casino entertainment, from the latest live casino game shows to the wide range of virtual slots and table games at sites like AmazonSlots UK.

    Technology Fuelling the Experience

Mobile gaming is a massive industry, and technology pushes it forward all the time. As we alluded to earlier, the smartphone is capable of truly remarkable feats, from high-definition videos to playing the latest AAA-quality mobile games. The delivery of these rich open worlds with vivid graphics and immersive gameplay is what all gamers want. Today’s technology delivers that, and these experiences will only get better.

Streaming live casino games to your smartphone as you ride the bus or sit back at home is now something that we naturally expect. Just be sure you have enough data to play these games when out and about, though! A lot of this streaming and gaming potential is helped by the arrival of 5G. The incredible speeds that rise to 20 times faster than what 4G was capable of, plus the low latency of 20ms to 5ms, mean that each gaming experience is almost close to perfect.

You can only imagine what 6G technology will provide for the gaming world. That’s the thing about gaming technology. The bar is forever being raised and what was once impressive one year seems mediocre the next.

    Gambling Regulations in Wales

One thing you can be sure of is that Wales will continue to get access to all the latest and greatest gaming content. Not only that but also a safe and secure gaming environment too. The UKGC licensing authorities ensure players are protected with all types of responsible gaming tools and features. Many of the top game studios are linked to the UKGC and hold the appropriate licenses, meaning you can expect to see plenty of those AAA-quality mobile games coming to a smartphone or handheld device near you soon. Gaming in Wales has never looked so good!
