Wingstop reveals opening date for first restaurant in Wales

Wingstop, Cardiff.

Wingstop opens the doors to its first restaurant site in Wales, at Brewery Quarter, Cardiff, on Monday 29th May, making this Wingstop’s 33rd site in the UK and creating 66 new jobs with the opening.   Undoubtedly, ‘The’ Wing Experts, Wingstop is dedicated to serving Cardiff, and the world, flavour, through classic wings, boneless wings and tenders, always cooked to order and hand sauced-and-tossed in fans’ choice of 10 bold, distinctive flavours.

Visitors can expect wings, music and urban influences that create a unique dining experience and a destination to enjoy great food and an authentic flavour experience.

Alongside the food, the music experience in-restaurant has risen to the next level.  Wingstop enhances its dining experiences with its carefully curated music playlists, featuring a range of up-and-coming artists, which reflects its commitment to being a destination that is always on-trend.

Foodie events pre-launch are planned for local enthusiasts, providing a sneak peek of the menu and restaurant experience and there are plans for in-restaurant events to showcase up-and-coming artists and DJs offering them the platform to perform at its restaurants, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere for customers, alongside the flavours on offers.

Flavour first:  Wingstop’s signature wings are known for their delicious flavours and seasonings, ranging from classic hot wings to more unique flavours like lemon pepper and mango habanero. The brand has developed a reputation for offering some of the best-tasting wings in the business.

Menu variety: While wings are the main attraction at Wingstop, the brand also offers a range of sides, dips, and drinks to complement the main dish. This variety allows customers to create their own customised meals and cater to their individual preferences.  Wingstop’s signature sides include seasoned fries and freshly-made ranch and bleu cheese dips.

Culture: Beyond the food, Wingstop is also about the collaborations and activations with popular UK artists to pop-up events featuring local DJs and live performances, and has genuinely become a destination for those looking to enjoy great food and an authentic flavour experience.

Wingstop arrived in the UK in 2018, and operates sites across Manchester, London, Glasgow, Birmingham and more.  Cardiff is the 33rd site and will be quickly followed by Chelmsford, Essex in June.  Wingstop now has over 2,000 restaurants across the globe.

Tom Grogan, Director Lemon Pepper Holdings, Master Franchisee Wingstop UK said of the opening, “Cardiff had to be our next opening.  We identified an appetite for the Wingstop to arrive and we look forward to serving flavour to Wales.  All diners will experience our authentic flavours and immersive environment, and we know our Welsh customers will love the bold sauce choices available to all.  Cardiff marks our 33rd opening and it’s exciting to arrive in a new space.”
