Emily Williams, 25, from Kidwelly, has been given a five-year prison sentence after a serious assault in Swansea city centre.

The assault took place in Peppermint, Wind Street, in November 2022. The victim sustained serious facial injuries after being attacked with a glass. Officers attended the scene and the suspect Emily Williams was identified and arrested.

    Detective Inspector Chris Evans said:

“Violence will not be tolerated within the night-time economy and South Wales Police are committed in pursuing any offending.

“It is important that the public feel safe within the city centre at night, and we work in partnership with the Local Authority in providing Help Points and conducting pro-active operations within the area.”
